Hugh Laurie & Leighton Meester in 'The Oranges' Red Band Trailer

The Oranges trailer
Though we may not get to see Hugh Laurie as the villain in Jose Padilha's remake of RoboCop (he's been replaced by Michael Keaton), this fall we'll see him get a little risque in The Oranges. The quirky comedy sees the enduring friendship between the Walling and Ostroff families tested when Nina (Leighton Meester), the prodigal Ostroff daughter, returns home for the holidays after a five-year absence and enters into an affair with David (Laurie), head of the Walling family. Now a red band trailer has debuted with a couple naughty words and some talk about old balls, and this looks like it could be a solid adult comedy. See below!

Here's the red band trailer for Julian Farino's The Oranges, originally from Yahoo:

The Ostroff and Walling families of West Orange, NJ, couldn't be closer - that is, until Walling patriarch David falls for Ostroff daughter Nina , making life just a bit awkward for both himself and the families.

The Oranges is directed by British filmmaker Julian Farino, of lots of TV work including "Entourage" and "How to Make It in America". The screenplay was written by newcomers Ian Helfer & Jay Reiss ("Wainy Days", Uber Alice) and showed up on the Blacklist a few years ago. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Fest last year. ATO Pictures will be releasing The Oranges in limited theaters starting October 5th this fall.
