We've already gotten a first look at Daniel Day-Lewis in his sure-to-be Oscar nominated turn as our nation's 16th President of the United States of America in an official first look photo and a theatrical poster for Lincoln. Now it's time to see the actor in action in this first teaser leading up to the actual trailer premiere on Thursday, September 13th at 7/6c. There will likely be clips tomorrow and Wednesday, but this will be the only one we post so everyone is fresh for the trailer this week. It's just a tease, but it looks like a powerful historical drama. Also, be sure to check out the Google hangout with Steven Spielberg and supporting star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, where they'll be talking to and taking questions from you. Watch!

Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, which finished shooting last year, stars Daniel Day-Lewis (of My Left Foot, Gangs of New York, There Will Be Blood) as our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, and focuses on the last four months of his life, guiding the North to victory during the Civil War. The cast includes Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jackie Earle Haley, Lee Pace, John Hawkes, Walton Goggins, Hal Holbrook, Tim Blake Nelson and David Oyelowo. The film has a screenplay by Oscar nominee Tony Kushner (Angels in America, Munich), based on many books about Lincoln's life. Disney, releasing the DreamWorks production, will debut Lincoln in limited theaters starting on November 9th, expanding wide on the 16th.
