First Teaser for 'The Girl' Starring Toby Jones as Hitchcock

The Girl
"Let's finish this picture." HBO Films & BBC Films have debuted the first short teaser trailer (found via The Playlist) for Julian Jarrold's upcoming drama The Girl, starring Toby Jones as legendary director Alfred Hitchcock, directing Sienna Miller as actress Tippi Hedren in The Birds and Marnie. The film focuses on the relationship between Hitchcock and Tippi Hedren, and this teaser gives us a look at some of the behind-the-scenes moments of The Birds and iconic Hitchcock events. This looks very good, and we barely get more than 30 seconds of footage. Even if we don't see any more of this, I'm already planning to watch it.

Here's the first teaser trailer for BBC & HBO's The Girl, directed by Julian Jarrold, from YouTube:

Update! Here's a second, different, teaser trailer for BBC & HBO's The Girl, also from YouTube:

The Girl, produced by BBC Television in association with HBO, is a look at the relationship between filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock (Jones) and actress Tippi Hedren (Miller). The cast includes Imelda Staunton as Alma Hitchcock, Penelope Wilton, Candice D'Arcy, Sean Cameron Michael and Kate Tilley. The Girl is directed by British filmmaker Julian Jarrold (of Becoming Jane, Red Riding: 1974) from a screenplay by Gwyneth Hughes (Miss Austen Regrets). The BBC is behind the film, but HBO will premiere The Girl here in the United States on the evening of October 20th, so be sure to set your DVR's accordingly. Thoughts?
