Extended Preview for Steven Spielberg's 'Lincoln' From the Debate
"Are we fitted to the times we're born into?" During the first 2012 presidential debate, Disney/DreamWorks unveiled a new extended TV preview for Steven Spielberg's Lincoln. The spot runs a full 2-minutes and is titled "Unite". Daniel Day-Lewis plays our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, in this epic story that tells of his last four months. The first full trailer debuted last month and marketing is now ramping up, including this TV spot showing up right in the thick of election season. David Strathairn and Tommy Lee Jones also appear, along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt who wasn't seen in the trailer much. This was the footage I was waiting to see, it looks epic and emotional and monumental in every sense of the name Lincoln. Enjoy!

Here's the full debate TV preview for Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, originally from YouTube:

Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, which finished shooting last year, stars Daniel Day-Lewis (of My Left Foot, Gangs of New York, There Will Be Blood) as our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, and focuses on the last four months of his life, guiding the North to victory during the Civil War. The cast includes Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jackie Earle Haley, Lee Pace, John Hawkes, Walton Goggins, Hal Holbrook, Tim Blake Nelson and David Oyelowo. The film has a screenplay by Oscar nominee Tony Kushner (Angels in America, Munich), based on many books about Lincoln's life. Disney, releasing the DreamWorks production, will debut Lincoln in limited theaters starting on November 9th, expanding wide on the 16th.
