After saving his family twice in Taken and the less than stellar sequel, Liam Neeson will take his brand of action to the sky in Non-Stop as an air marshal stopping a dangerous threat to his passenger plane. Jaume Collett-Sera is directing that film (who also directed Neeson in Unknown), and now he's reuniting with the Irish bad ass for Run All Night, another action thriller written by Brad Inglesby (who wrote forthcoming films like Out of the Furnace and the remake of The Raid). This time Neeson will play a mob hitman who must take on his former boss in order to protect his son and family, all in one single night.
Neeson ends up on the run from the mob with his estranged son, and there's probably a lot of running and car chases. The unlikely action star can only do this for so long as he's getting up there in the years, but audiences keep turning out for these kinds of films with im in the lead. Hopefully it offers a little something different than the generic shoot 'em up action we've come to expect after Taken (that first film was fun and enjoyable, but now its old schtick). Neeson and Collett-Sera are shooting Non-Stop right now, and while Warner Bros. has locked Neeson to star, we're not sure if this will be his next film or not. Stay tuned.
