'World War Z' Director Marc Forster 'Imagining Nathan' for Disney?

Imagining Nathan
While the director is having trouble finishing up World War Z, with extensive reshoots being part of the last report, Marc Forster is already looking to the future as The Wrap reports Disney is in the midst of making a deal with the director to be at the helm of Imagining Nathan, a new dramatic fantasy film that sounds like it might have a slight Who Framed Roger Rabbit? influence. The film follows the titular character who, at six-years old, falls into his own fantasy world after his parents are killed. Thirty years later his sister tries to help him escape his demons as his condition keeps him thinking that he's living in a cartoon-like world.

Part of me wonders if maybe everyone else thinks he's crazy, but this cartoon world turns out to be more real than they imagine. This sounds like it could be a bit of a twisted, dark story, but with Disney involved, it's likely meant for most families. But if Disney sends it out under their Touchstone banner, it could be a little less friendly to children. This story sounds perfect for the director of Finding Neverland, and it'll definitely be a nice change of pace from his zombie experience on World War Z. Frankly, we're hoping that adaptation turns out all right, but this new project sounds very promising as well.
